A fuel station located on a prominent road in Bradford has ceased operations.

Signs indicating that fuel is unavailable have been positioned around the Esso site, which sits across from the Asda store on Rooley Lane.

The premises, which incorporates an Asda Express shop, featured green mesh fencing and traffic cones cordoning off the pump section during Wednesday afternoon.

A sign affixed to the barrier disclosed that the work was being executed by Steve Williams Construction West Midlands Ltd.

Pumps unavailable for use

Images captured at the location show the entire dispensing area beneath the Esso shelter sealed off with temporary barriers, blocking cars from reaching the fuel pumps.

The fencing extends across much of the petrol station forecourt, with several cones positioned around the boundary.

Shop appears to remain trading

Although the forecourt has been shut, the Asda Express outlet seems to continue operating.

A driver passing through the area stated that the store was trading normally.

The individual noted that it appeared work was underway to remove the concrete surfacing on the forecourt.

The cause of the closure remains unclear, with no confirmation whether it relates to scheduled maintenance, tank renovations, rebuilding work, infrastructure improvements or another operational matter.
