A sex offender who was the subject of a police appeal has been apprehended.
Darren Inkpen, 56, was freed from a Kent prison in April and was anticipated to move to the Leeds region but did not meet his notification obligations.
Officers carried out extensive search efforts in an attempt to find Inkpen, who has connections to Kent and Sussex.
They have confirmed his arrest.
What the police said
A West Yorkshire Police representative stated that a 56-year-old man was taken into custody following a previous public appeal for information regarding an individual wanted for breaching the Sex Offenders Register notification requirements.
The force is no longer seeking Darren Inkpen.
Appreciation was expressed to all members of the public who circulated the appeal or supplied relevant information.
