One year prior to this date, the West Yorkshire football organisation unveiled proposals for enhancing its home ground, aiming to increase seating capacity to 56,500.

The local authority backed the scheme, with plans to examine the initial planning submission at a forthcoming committee meeting.

The club expressed their excitement in an official communication stating that they were delighted to share visual images for upgrading Elland Road, following on from the strategy announced in September 2024 to modernise and improve the facility.

The proposal would raise the current capacity of 37,645, with improvements to standard entry and premium seating areas, responding to substantial supporter demand – as evidenced by 26,000 fans currently holding places on the season ticket interest register.
