A new care home is set to open shortly outside the city centre.
Bradford Hall Care Home will begin accepting residents during the summer months in Eccleshill, located on Kimberwicke Walk close to the former Union Mills site.
The 72-bedroom facility is run by Burghley Care and provides residential, dementia, short-break, and palliative care services.
Chris Lane, chairman of Burghley Care, said the company was pleased to introduce Bradford Hall as its latest care home and to expand its presence in West Yorkshire.
The firm explained that its ongoing objective had been to create homes offering outstanding care in environments where people feel comfortable, respected, and part of a community.
Lane noted he had worked in healthcare for more than 20 years, and during that time the focus had remained constant: delivering excellent care to residents, treating them with dignity, and enabling them to live as independently as possible in surroundings that genuinely feel welcoming and homely.
The home features multiple communal facilities designed to support resident wellbeing and independence, including a quiet lounge, activities space, music café, sports bar, beauty salon, garden room, and landscaped garden areas.
A wellbeing kitchen will also be available, giving residents the opportunity to bake or cook in a safe, supportive setting.
Lane added that Bradford Hall had been designed to offer excellent facilities, but just as importantly, it would be a place defined by warmth, dignity, and authentic homeliness for its future residents.
As the opening date approaches, the team expected to build a committed staff group and become part of the local community.
Ian Ward, managing director of Torsion Care, said Bradford Hall represented another important step in creating a modern care environment built specifically around the needs of residents, families, and staff.
The development had been conceived to combine quality living spaces with inviting communal areas and facilities that support health and social interaction.
The company expressed enthusiasm at seeing the project near completion.
The home expects to fill a variety of roles before opening, with recruitment events set to be announced shortly.
