A popular café in Bradford is celebrating a decade since first opening its doors.

Idle Lounge Coffee House occupies Albion Road in the Idle district and has earned recognition for its warm ambience, friendly staff, and reasonably priced food available throughout the day and into the evening.

The venue serves hot drinks, a wide variety of breakfast options, light snacks, cakes, and classic afternoon tea. It also caters for special diets with vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free choices available.

Patron reviews frequently describe the spot as an understated treasure and praise the helpful service, appealing décor, and competitive prices, making it a favoured local choice whether for a quick beverage or a leisurely meal.

This week, the establishment officially commemorated its tenth year in operation.

The owner said she never expected what followed.

When I first opened, I pictured a simple neighbourhood café — something unassuming for what was back then a peaceful, relatively unnoticed part of Idle, owner Nicky Brame told the Telegraph and Argus.

I never foresaw it developing the way it has.

Over time, we have expanded to three times our initial footprint, and it has been wonderful to see Idle become such a vibrant place to visit.

None of this could have happened without our fantastic staff — you really do fantastic work.

Your dedication, hard work, and genuine friendliness you display every day are what make this place so wonderful.

You have built the cosy, welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers coming back, and I feel so privileged to work alongside such a great team.

And to our loyal customers, many of whom have been with us from the very start, thank you for your continued custom. It has been lovely sharing this celebration with so many of you today.
