Police have published an image of unusual gloves that were abandoned during an incident involving what is thought to be a stolen motorbike.
On April 11, Police Community Support Officer Dyson was carrying out routine patrols along The Greenway in Heckmondwike when he discovered two men riding what officers believe was a stolen moped.
One of the men managed to get away during the encounter.
Investigators say the individual was wearing a balaclava decorated with white skull bone designs and dropped a pair of unique gloves as he ran from the scene.
Detectives are urging members of the public to help identify the gloves.
A spokesperson for the force said assistance was needed. On Saturday evening, PCSO Dyson was walking his beat in the The Greenway neighbourhood of Heckmondwike when he spotted two men on what was thought to be a stolen moped. During the confrontation, one of the suspects, who was wearing a balaclava with white skull bones printed on it, attempted to run away but in his haste left behind a pair of distinctive gloves. Can anyone recognise who these gloves belong to? Does anyone know where such gloves might have been bought?
