Yorkshire Building Society has announced it will be introducing additional opening hours at two of its branches.

The Shipley and Keighley locations will welcome customers on Saturday 4 April and Saturday 11 April, providing support during the transition between tax years.

The additional sessions will run from 9am until midday and are designed to assist account holders in maximising their existing tax-free ISA limits and setting up fresh ISAs for the coming year.

Tina Hughes, who serves as the society’s savings director, explained that the conclusion of one tax year and commencement of another represent key moments for their members.

With confirmed modifications to ISA limits scheduled for 2027, she emphasised the urgency for savers to take advantage of the current, more generous tax-free thresholds before they are altered.

Supporting individuals in building their savings aligns closely with Yorkshire Building Society’s core mission.

By keeping its branches open on those two Saturdays in April, the organisation hopes account holders will be able to fully utilise their allowances.

Customers visiting during these extended hours will have the option to open new accounts, add funds to their existing ISAs, or obtain details about Individual Savings Accounts from branch staff.

Yorkshire Building Society observed that interest in new accounts typically more than doubles when the tax year commences.
